BIBLIOTEQUE VELVET

BIBLIOTEQUE VELVET is a jacquard velvet for upholstery with an abstract geometric motif. With BIBLIOTEQUE, we pay homage to the importance that books, magazines, and theater played in Veva’s life. This jacquard velvet is extremely sophisticated and technically complex. The geometric shapes parade orderly like books with their spines aligned with varying colours in the fabric. This rich and luxurious look is achieved using the ombré technique, the contrast between full and empty achieved with the use of cut pile on a linen base, in addition to the use of a bulky chenille yarn which gives it added three-dimensionality. Ombré velvet is a fabric that features a smooth and gradual transition between two colours, creating a “degradé” effect. The word ombré means “shaded” in French. This effect is achieved through an intricate weaving technique that gives it a gradient appearance, making the fabric visually rich and luxurious. Let yourself be seduced by the 3 colour combinations in which BIBLIOTEQUE is available.
